Young, Restless, Reformed (Book Review)

Young, Restless, Reformed
Collin Hansen an editor for “Christianity Today” embarked on a journey to discover what is making young twenty something year olds flock to Reformed Theology in his book "Young, Restless, Reformed". Collin does a great job in getting key interviews with leaders such a CJ Mahaney of Sovereign Grace Ministries and Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill and Acts 29. He also encounters many young students in their twenties and gets the chance to interview them. Collin talks with these men and women on why they feel Reformed Theology is making a comeback, what draws them to reformed theology, and what reformed theology is. Collin goes into small studies of Jonathan Edwards and The Puritans and how they affected Reformed Theology before it had a name.
Not only did Collin Hansen write a book that reads like a blog but teaches like a classroom, he makes the reader want to study beyond this book. Collin does a great job of keeping his readers in tuned, and not going over their head.
This is a great read for any Reformed Christian, but most importantly this is a must read for Pastors, missionaries, church planters, deacons, anyone who is in the ministry. Reformed Theology is making a comeback, and this time it is here to stay. So if you are reformed or just want to know what they hype is, pick up this book; this is must read.
